Kool Deadwood Nites–Sturgis Show & Shine brings the cars, their owners, and the people who love them together on Main Street in Sturgis. Make this stop part of your Kool Deadwood Nites week: get a closer look at the classics, talk cars, and help choose the crowd’s favorite.

One show week. Two iconic Main Streets.
Kool Deadwood Nites celebrates classic cars in historic Deadwood. The Sturgis Show & Shine adds a Main Street gathering in Sturgis to that experience. For participating owners, it is a chance to bring their cars to another Black Hills community. For visitors, it is a chance to see the details up close and meet the people behind the builds.
Come for the paint, chrome, and craftsmanship. Stay for the conversations, the group photo, and the Sturgis Choice Award.
Plan your 2027 Sturgis stop
- Date: Wednesday, August 18, 2027.
- Show hours: 11 am–2 pm, tentatively.
- Location: Main Street, Sturgis, South Dakota.
- Car parking: The tentative schedule lists free parking on Main Street between Junction Avenue and 4th Avenue.
- Participation: For registered Kool Deadwood Nites car owners. Wristbands and event registration information must be displayed on the dashboard.
- Lunch: The tentative schedule includes a free lunch for registered owners; the 2027 provider has not been announced.
Arrival instructions, final parking arrangements, sponsors, and lunch details will be added when confirmed.
The Sturgis Choice Award
This is the crowd’s chance to celebrate a favorite. Walk the lineup, take in the cars, and join the Sturgis Choice Award voting.
- 11 am–1 pm: Tentative voting window.
- 1 pm: Group photo at 1st and Main Street.
- After the photo: Announcement of the Sturgis Choice Award winner.
Final voting instructions will be posted before the event.
A growing gathering of car people
The Sturgis Show & Shine has grown through the enthusiasm of owners, visitors, and the businesses supporting it. Organizers recall approximately 125 cars in the first year and more than 200 in the second—a strong start for a gathering built around classic cars and community.
This page will preserve that history as well as help you plan your next visit. Past event photographs, Sturgis Choice Award winners, and stories from the people involved will be added as the archive develops.
